Sustainable Fashion

The clothing industry comes at a huge environmental price. From the toxic chemicals used to grow cotton to exploitative labor conditions in the Global south to cheap items that are easily thrown out; the fashion world as we know it is far from sustainable. Luckily, there are lots of alternatives nowadays such as organically produced clothing, swapping or selling old pieces, donating, buying secondhand, ethical brands, upcycling… This project’s mission is to stimulate students to think about what they put on their bodies and make more sustainable wardrobe choices in the future.
