During this introductory workshop you will learn and experience biomimicry fundamentals. You will learn about biomimicry theory and applications. Other than being an introduction to the topic and an overview of relevant examples, this session is coupled with a hands-on activity bridging biomimicry to applications we can see in daily life. At the end of the workshop, you will know what Biomimicry is and how it can be useful to solve problems in diverse contexts.No foreknowledge is required for this workshop. The workshop will be taught in English.
Ravi Bellardi of Glimps will be your workshop host. Ravi is a designer specialized in Systemic Design. Glimps is a design agency and cooperative in biofabrication and shares knowledge in the field of biomaterials. They help companies to valorise their waste streams or bring products to market, using biomaterial technologies. Glimps also partners up with other organisations and organise workshops in their lab or on location.
