Tackling Food Waste | Dinner & Lecture

Consumers in Western countries waste an average of 100 kg of food annually. Fortunately, everyone can take action and reduce his food waste!

To spread awareness on this issue, the Green Office is organizing a second edition of the Dumpster Feast on the 17th of March. Don’t miss out on this opportunity for all students to come together and enjoy a cheap meal!

But what does this meal have to do with saving food, you might ask. Well, the dinner will be prepared with leftovers from local supermarkets. While enjoying all this deliciousness, our guest speaker, Maarten De Hauw from Too Good To Go, will guide us through some general facts regarding food waste and tell us more about what his company is doing to face the problem.

Practical information

Tickets will be sold for the cost of 2 euros (What, only 2 euros?!) at Pangaea on the 9th of March from 13:00 until 15:00 (second ticket-selling time will be announced later, or just send us a message on Facebook).

The cost of the ticket includes the dinner buffet – bring some Tupperwares for taking home the leftovers!
